Got your groom tackling big day to-do’s? Ky Phillips from Albury Wodonga Limousines suggests there’s one little task you might want to double check has truly been ticked off.
What do you think makes a great wedding?
I think a great wedding starts with great organisation, and of course a beautiful limousine to start the day off in style on the way to church or garden.
What was the most memorable wedding you’ve worked on and why?
The best wedding I have provided a service for would have to be in the rolling hills of Yackandandah. It was an amazing view - the church looked down over the valley and some of the groom's friends and family didn’t know the wedding was taking place until they turned up after flying in from the UK the day before!
What’s the most wonderful thing about getting married in the Rutherglen region?
The best thing about getting married in Rutherglen would have to be the history of the region. It has so much to offer a bride and groom in the way of weddings. All Saints, for example, is a simply stunning venue.
Is there one mistake you see many couples make?
One mistake I have seen made: the groom has one job to do and it’s to organise the main transport for the big day and he leaves it to the last week. Often they can’t book a limo as they are all booked out in advance, the end result is needing to pay a fortune to get one from Melbourne.
Why are you passionate about what you do?
We are passionate about bringing the smiles to people's faces, whether it’s picking up a bridal party, a wine tour in beautiful Rutherglen or a surprise pick-up for someone treating their loved one to a nice evening out. It’s an industry that I’m thrilled to be in and very a rewarding one.
What’s your best tip for couples planning their wedding?
Getting a wedding checklist and start from the top - and of course. make Albury Wodonga Limousines part of your wedding!
Start ticking off tasks from that checklist by meeting Ky Phillips of Albury Wodonga Limousines at the Love + Light Wedding Festival in Rutherglen on February 16-17, 2019. Find more info and buy your tickets here.
